Wenea and Monta join forces to boost electric mobility in Europe

MADRID, August 22, 2023 — In an exciting step towards electric mobility, Wenea and Monta are proud to announce their bilateral roaming agreement. This strategic collaboration will enable the integration of charging systems from both companies into their respective platforms, significantly expanding the charging network available to their customers across Europe.

Key aspects of the collaboration

Integration of Chargers: Wenea’s and Monta’s chargers will seamlessly synchronize within both applications, simplifying customer access to a wider charging network. This measure aims to promote convenience and flexibility, further driving the adoption of sustainable technology.

Strategically Distributed Charging Network: Thanks to this collaboration, Wenea’s customers will be able to access over 1,500 charging points across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Ireland, United Kingdom, and France. Meanwhile, Monta’s network will have over 1,000 points distributed throughout Spain and the United Kingdom. This expansion ensures comprehensive coverage for all electric vehicle customers, allowing them to charge wherever and whenever needed.

Charging Experience through the Wenea App: Customers will be able to charge at these roaming points by downloading the Wenea mobile app, available on iOS and Android. The platform provides a charging point map, route planner, and features to monitor charging status, check real-time charger availability, review billing and recharge history.

In the words of Amaia Iribar, Roaming Manager at Wenea: “We firmly believe that collaboration is the key to driving the transition towards sustainable electric mobility. This alliance benefits not only our customers but also contributes to the ongoing growth of electric mobility in Europe.”

The agreement between Wenea and Monta reflects a shared commitment to a more sustainable and cleaner future for future generations. This collaboration between two industry leaders will lay the foundation for more accessible electric mobility across the continent.
