Wenea, a company providing services for new electric vehicle customers, has reached an interoperability agreement with the roaming platform Gireve to interconnect all public access charging stations. Through this agreement, Wenea expands its European coverage by providing its customers with new rapid charging points that will be available for use through its app, available on all mobile devices through the iOS App Store and Android Play Store. Most of Wenea's customers are in Europe and need charging points for long trips or upon arrival at their destination. With this new alliance, over 165,000 charging points will be open for roaming through Gireve and could become part of Wenea's charging network. "At Wenea, we aim to facilitate the transition to electric mobility by creating an ultra-rapid and accessible charging network for all customers within and outside our borders. These roaming agreements allow us to reaffirm our purpose by improving the coverage of services available to our customers through the Wenea app. Thanks to the agreement with Gireve, Wenea's customers will have access to a large number of charging stations across the European territory from our platform," stated Alberto Cantero, CEO of Wenea. Wenea will also integrate its charging network, which already boasts over 400 active points, into Gireve´s roaming platform for all electric vehicle drivers seeking charging points in Spain, thereby expanding its roaming offering in Europe. In this way, both companies enhance their service offerings by providing a mobility solution that enhances their customers' charging experience. The goal of this alliance is to enable electric vehicle drivers to stop less for charging and to be able to charge wherever they stop, using a single application. Wenea, the leading company in fast electric vehicle charging services in Spain, has reached a roaming agreement with NewMotion, a subsidiary of the Shell Group. Through this collaboration, customers of the Wenea application will be able to utilize the 13,000 public charging stations provided by NewMotion, of which 400 are rapid and ultra-rapid chargers, enabling seamless travel across the European space. Similarly, Shell Recharge customers will be able to access ultra-rapid charging points in the Spanish territory for the first time starting this month. In this way, both operators provide electric vehicle customers with a mobility solution that allows them to travel throughout Europe using a single network of reliable, guaranteed, and accessible charging points. Both companies are working on integrating their platforms, with completion expected in 2022. "This roaming agreement represents an improvement in the service coverage for our customers, making a wide network of charging stations available to them through the Wenea app. Thanks to the roaming technology implemented in our platform, we will be able to provide service in a number of new markets, including Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, or Belgium, reaffirming our commitment to CO2 emissions-free mobility accessible to all customers within and outside our borders," stated Alberto Cantero, CEO of Wenea. On the other hand, Jean Baptiste Guntzberger, Regional Director for Southern Europe at NewMotion, states that "Access to a good public charging infrastructure is a crucial element when transitioning to electric vehicles. For this reason, roaming agreements, like the one signed with Wenea, are key to providing electric vehicle customers with mobility solutions. This agreement allows us to expand our network with over 300 fast charging points, so that, with the Shell Recharge card and application, our customers can access over 250,000 public charging points in 35 European countries, including more than 4,250 in Spain." This agreement is part of Wenea's global goal to democratize electric vehicle charging by offering the largest network of rapid and ultra-rapid charging in Europe. It also underscores the company's ongoing commitment to sustainable mobility and reducing CO2 emissions. [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]June 2021 - Wenea, a service provider for new electric vehicle customers, and ADS-Tec, a German company dedicated to manufacturing system solutions, have signed an agreement to enhance the power of some of their charging points in Spanish territory through the use of batteries. Due to the topography in various parts of Spain, there are places where sufficient electricity does not reach the charging points to supply the required power. To address this issue, the alliance between Wenea and ADS-Tec was formed. As a result of this agreement, electric vehicle customers can now enjoy and charge their cars at full power without any problems, thanks to the batteries provided by the German company, which will complement those locations where the supplied electricity is insufficient for the charging points. In this way, the agreement improves the charging company's services at any location in the territory, regardless of the difficulties the terrain may present. This, in turn, represents a significant advancement, as it allows chargers to be deployed in locations where it was previously not possible. The different plans, legislative changes, and the increasing awareness among the population regarding transportation decarbonization are gradually driving the sector towards a more sustainable mobility that will become a reality with the implementation of electric vehicles in society. In Spain, electric vehicle registrations have multiplied by 11 since 2016, according to data from the Electric Vehicle and Sustainable Mobility Observatory; in 2020, 4.21% of the vehicle fleet was already electric, according to ANFAC data.
