Our partnership with Oxford City Council has been instrumental in delivering an EV charging network that meets the city’s growing demand. By working closely with the council, Wenea has established two key locations, Redbridge and Seacourt, ensuring Oxford residents, commuters, and visitors have convenient access to quick, reliable EV charging solutions.
Redbridge - One of Europe’s Largest EV Charging Hubs
Redbridge is not only one of Europe’s largest EV hubs but also a vital asset in Oxford’s clean energy landscape. The facility’s impressive 10 MW capacity allows it to serve 20 vehicles simultaneously, with expansion plans to support up to 400 vehicles as EV adoption grows. This scalability ensures Redbridge can evolve alongside Oxford’s needs, accommodating the rising demand for EV charging in the city.
Expanding Sustainable Travel Options
Wenea’s Redbridge hub is designed with Oxford’s future in mind. Plans for expansion will further elevate the site’s charging capacity to serve more vehicles, ensuring long-term sustainability as EV adoption accelerates. This strategic foresight is integral to supporting Oxford’s ongoing environmental goals and reducing citywide emissions.
Seacourt Charging Hub - Convenient and Reliable Charging
Located at the Seacourt Park & Ride, this site provides drivers with the flexibility to charge up to 10 electric vehicles at a time. It includes:
Four 22kW chargers, ideal for 3–4-hour full charges
One 100kW charger, capable of delivering a full charge in 30 minutes.
These chargers make it easy for commuters, visitors, and residents to power their vehicles while accessing Oxford’s city centre, with the option to charge overnight or while parking for extended periods.
“This project is the perfect example of collaboration between public and private transport, offering different types of charging services to meet the needs of all electric vehicle drivers. At Wenea we are very proud to participate in this initiative, providing the Park & Ride with a service that allows them to visit Oxford by public transport while they can leave their EV charging.”
