Wenea transforming EV charging in Plymouth with Plymouth City Council

Wenea is proud to collaborate with Plymouth City Council and the Connect Plymouth initiative, supporting the city’s ambitious goals to reduce emissions and promote sustainable transportation. Through this partnership, we aim to make cleaner, accessible transportation a reality for all Plymouth residents.
The project will provide over 300 charging bays at 50 locations around the city once completed. By strategically placing these chargers throughout Plymouth, we are committed to supporting a smooth transition from combustion engines to electric vehicles, making EV ownership more convenient and accessible.

Comprehensive Charging Solutions

As part of this initiative, Wenea will deploy a range of fast (22kW), rapid (50kW), and ultra-rapid (100kW) chargers across the city, ensuring that all EV users, from commuters to car-sharing users, have the flexibility they need. These chargers will support Co Wheels’ car-sharing fleet, an electric vehicle network designed to give residents affordable, on-demand access to EVs.

Expanding Sustainable Travel Options

Connect Plymouth is more than just an EV charging project—it’s a vision for an interconnected, eco-friendly transportation network. Working alongside Beryl Bikes and CoWheels, Wenea is helping to create a city with wider sustainable travel options, from bikes and car shares to efficient EV chargers.

This city-wide project aims to decrease emissions, reduce traffic, and encourage the adoption of more sustainable transportation options. By providing Plymouth with a diverse and integrated transportation system, we’re helping protect the city’s natural spaces and fostering healthier travel habits for all.
